When To Ask For Help

Help for Myself

Some people believe it is a sign of weakness to seek out a psychologist or therapist. However, few things demonstrate stength more than knowing yourself, knowing your goals, and the awareness that you are not succeeding on that path toward growth, and then be willing to ask for help to get there.

Help for My Child

Although your child may look a lot like you, only smaller, their reaction to life changes are not necessarily smaller versions of your reaction.

The signs of behavioral health and mental illness in children, differ from that of teens and adults. As a general rule, when your child's mood or behavior is interfering with his/her functioning (at school, home, church, sports, etc.) or your family's functioning, it is time to seek out help.

If you can think about things you can talk about them, if you can talk about them you can manage them. - Mr. Rogers
